Small Pot, Big Noise.
A group of passionate foodies came to us, seeking a brand that would be as effervescent and unique as their newly created product.
Boxer & Co. created the brand for this kombucha yoghurt from its conception. The name ‘Roar & Tonic’ speaks to creating balance in your life. This ‘tonic’ is the antidote to life’s ‘roar’. The brand revolves around our protagonist, the small and unassuming Lionel the mouse, who has a calling to play music and create BIG noises. Lionel is seen playing a different loud instrument on each pack, demonstrating that small things can pack a BIG punch.
The white backdrop cues purity and dairy, juxtaposing the vibrant, attention-seeking neon palette which signifies energy and delivers an excitement for this innovative product. Overall, the aesthetic is simple and clutter free. The result is mouse-like in its tasteful design cues, yet lion-like in its visual impact.

“Roar & Tonic is the delightful culmination of a project that was loosely briefed to Boxer & Co as ‘a probiotic yoghurt’. They kicked off with thorough research and a visual strategy using a range of bespoke tools. The Lionel route was one of three design directions tabled and the moment we saw him, we were in love! It was refreshing (as is the product itself), thoroughly unique in dairy (as is the product itself) and broke some category rules (as does the product itself). The fact that Boxer & Co invented the brand name was a hugely pleasant bonus. We couldn’t be more proud of this new brand and are delighted to have secured national listings, not least due to its enormous visual appeal.”
