We were briefed to refresh the brand identity and packaging design for Woolworths’ flagship beauty accessories brand, Oscar Orsen. The brand houses male and female products across multiple ranges.
Oscar Orsen needed to better resonate with its target audience, therein the challenge was to establish the credentials and expertise of brand with an identity that spoke to a highend boutique salon.
Our design solution depicts intricate interlocking ‘O’ rings creating a unique embrace. One ring represents the foundation of Oscar Orsen as a credible and knowledgeable brand, whilst the other ring is an ever-evolving form that represents creativity and potential. Semiotically the pattern links as an abstract depiction of the products usage.
The combination of earthy natural colour tones delivers a design language that reflects the simple and contemporary sophistication of the Oscar Orsen persona to an otherwise functional category.
