Marie and Mark were two vegans, struggling to give up their passion for delicious cheese. They noticed a lack of choices when it came to alternatives of their favourite dairy delight that didn’t cost the earth. As an entrepreneur and a Michelin trained chef, they were perfectly positioned to combine forces to create Dilectio – premium plant based cheeses.
After an initial launch of their products they tasked Boxer & Co. with redesigning the branding and packaging to move the product into its next phase of business growth. With the plant-based market exploding in all categories, it was time to create a product that not only tasted like it belonged on any cheeseboard, but looked that way on shelf too.
The new brand taps into the heritage of traditional cheesemaking, both defining itself within the category and standing out amongst its competitors. We retained the deep purple, but dialled it up to highlight its indulgence and richness and to form a beacon on shelf. Golden leaf flourishes and fine detailing delicately interweave through the artisanal typography to reflect packaging that is as lovingly crafted as the cheese within.
